◎序言(引言/导言/出版后记/编辑手记/跋) Introduction
The world is a garden of diverse civilizations. Diversity spurs interaction among civilizations, which in turn promotes mutual learning and their further development.
As a major project implemented by the China News Service, a state news agency, the “W.E. Talk Comics” book series illustrates the similarities and differences between the East and the West in different aspects. Through the conversations between Mr. Kong and young Marco Polo, two cartoon figures, it tries to demonstrate humanity’s profound wisdom, rich emotions, and aspirations for a better life.
This volume, with a focus on the colorful daily life of Eastern and Western people, presents such highlights as culinary cultures, costumes, shopping carnivals, and tourism.
We hope that these comics will help promote mutual understanding among civilizations.
