2022年6月，党中央正式批准《中国共产党的一百年》中文版出版。编写《中国共产党的一百年》，是党中央交给中央党史和文献研究院的一项重要任务。习近平总书记对编写工作高度重视，作出重要指示给予指导，为编写工作指明正确方向，提供基本遵循。
全书分为“新民主主义革命时期”“社会主义革命和建设时期”“改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期”“中国特色社会主义新时代”四卷，共86万字，图片455幅。
《中国共产党的一百年》坚持以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，深入贯彻落实习近平总书记关于中国共产党历史的重要论述以及关于党史和文献工作的重要讲话和指示批示精神，坚持唯物史观和正确党史观，坚持解放思想、实事求是，坚持党性原则和科学精神相统一，集政治性、思想性、权威性、学术性、可读性于一体，是迄今为止公开出版的读物中，全面系统反映中国共产党历史时间跨度最长、内容最系统最完整的一部党史正史著作。
读懂今天的中国，必须读懂中国共产党。该书英文版的出版发行，为国外读者了解中国共产党的历史提供了权威读本，对于向国际社会讲好中国共产党的故事，加强对中国共产党历史的宣传阐释，帮助国外民众认识到中国共产党真正为中国人民谋幸福、为中华民族谋复兴而奋斗，了解中国共产党为什么能、马克思主义为什么行、中国特色社会主义为什么好，具有重要意义。
In June 2022， the CPC Central Committee officially approved the publication of the Chinese edition of 100 Years of the Communist Party of China. Compiling the book was an important task entrusted to the Institute of Party History and Literature by the CPC Central Committee. General Secretary Xi Jinping attached great attention to the book and gave important instructions for its compilation， setting the book’s direction and providing its editors clear guidance and basic principles.
With a total of 860，000 Chinese characters and 455 photos， the book is divided into four volumes: “The New-Democratic Revolution，” “Socialist Revolution and Development，” “Reform， Opening Up， and Socialist Modernization，” and “A New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.”
With Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as their guide， the book’s editors applied the principles from Xi’s important statements on the CPC’s history and his major speeches and instructions on Party history and literature work. With a strong understanding of the CPC’s history， they remained true to historical materialism， freed their minds， and sought truth from facts. They followed both Party principles and a science-based approach. Not only rich in political theory but also authoritative， academic， and highly readable， the book is the most systematic， complete， and up-to-date official text on the CPC’s history.
