张桃红,北京科技大学副教授,硕士生导师,发表近50篇学术论文(包括SCI 一区2篇,二区4篇);承担多项课题及教改课题(包括中国高等教育学会、科技部创新方法工作专项)、获得多项教学、教改奖项;于2011-2012年在Harvard-MIT 及2017-2018年英国拉夫堡大学各访学一年。从事计算机基础双语、全英文教学十余年,出版其英文版教材2部。

“Computer Basics” is a computerbased course which is taught in university for the freshmen. The purpose is to introduce computers’ basic knowledge, operating methods and applications in various fields. This enables students to acquire basic knowledge and skills of computer applications as well as to assist their own specialized courses with the help of the computer knowledge that they have learned.
This course includes lecture part and practice part. The textbook for lecture part has been published seven years ago, now the second version was issued in 2019. However, the experimental instruction manual for the practice part was not written until this book. The character of this book is explained in the following:
1. This book is following the teaching theory of knowledge logic structure and mind form note based on cognition (KM theory). It contains comprehensive KM chart, chapter KM charts and knowledge nodes KM charts which are conducted as “thinthickthin” to realize the spiral cognition.
2. This book is consistent with the textbook of lecture in classroom teaching. It is designed for the supplement of lecture teaching and promoting the understand from experiments and practices.
3. The contents of this book contain experiments with detailed instructing procedures and self test practices in every chapter. So, it is suitable not only for universities as a textbook but also for selflearners to master the basic operations of computer.
This textbook is one of the research achievements of Innovation Method Project “Application and Practice of Scientific Thinking, Scientific Method in Universities Teaching Renovation—Research and Practice of KM Teaching Method” (Project No. 2009IM010400201). And this textbook is funded by University of Science and Technology Beijing. Thanks for the work of colleagues and graduated students.
