专业英语是高校学生专业培养不可缺少的一部分,其重要性不言而喻。为了适应电气工程及其自动化专业人才培养的需要,作者根据多年从事高等工科院校电气工程及其自动化专业英语课程的教学实践,结合教育部的专业目录要求编写了《电气工程及其自动化专业英语教程》,于2007年出版。
自教材出版后,得到的普遍反映是:教材内容覆盖面广、形式新颖,通过学习,能够掌握电气工程领域的基本专业词汇,能够顺利地阅读本专业英文资料,同时还能了解电气工程领域的相关知识和方向,效果良好。根据本书十多年的教学使用情况,考虑到电力新技术、新理论的迅速发展,结合教育部颁布的专业培养要求,作者决定对该教材进行修订。再版教材保持专业覆盖面较广的特色,结构体系不变,在内容上删除相对陈旧、使用较少、涉及面窄的内容,增添近年来在电气工程领域中应用广泛、发展迅速的前沿知识以及对学生有吸引力的英文原文资料,以适应电气工程及其自动化专业工程认证和新工科对本科教学的要求。
